The tragic murder of George Floyd has caused many to reflect on attitudes and actions towards minorities. In this paper, we discuss the existing challenges facing BAME communities in HE, and the way that current events have changed discussions around this. We also discuss how these challenges have intensified as a result of the changes forced on HE by the pandemic.
