Tom is the Senior IT Audit and Assurance Consultant at Uniac. He has worked as an IT Auditor since April 2021, including management of IT Audit Programmes for multiple clients. He has worked with various public sector organisations including councils, education providers, healthcare providers, charities and emergency services. Tom has a lifelong interest in technology which helped drive his career change from hospitality management to IT Audit. He also has experience in management of IT Audit programmes at multiple clients.
Tom is a Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) and Internal Audit Practitioner (IAP) as well as holding multiple IT and Cybersecurity certifications on LinkedIn Learning and Coursera. Tom has designed and delivered audits across a wide array of audit topics, including AI, Network Boundary Defenses, Vulnerability Management, Application Portfolio Management and Software Development Lifecycle.
Tom has previously volunteered at the very first CSIDES event in Weston-super-Mare, and with CyberFirst on schools assessments and Teacher Continuing Professional Development. He has also appeared as a debate guest on the AUDIT 15 FUN Podcast with Jon Taber.
