Peter joined Uniac in December 2022. Immediately prior to this, he worked within public sector audit (both internal and external audit) where he qualified as a chartered accountant through the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). Peter also has a background in academic research, obtaining a PhD in Chemistry from University of Manchester.
Since joining Uniac, Peter has enjoyed engaging in a wide variety of audits across Uniac’s current client base with particular focus on financial systems and statutory data returns. He has recently moved into a Client Management role within Uniac, supporting the oversight and delivery of annual internal audit programmes.
Peter holds a first-class honours degree in Chemistry with a year in industry and also a PhD in the same field. During this time he gained firsthand experience of both teaching and research within a higher education setting. On completion of his PhD, Peter then went on to qualify as a CIPFA chartered accountant alongside his role in public sector audit where he worked with organisations spanning local government, NHS and both further and higher education.
Peter is Uniac’s Financial Systems specialist. He also has expertise in statutory data returns such as TRAC and HE-BCI and is developing experience in research related reviews, including bid identification and post-graduate researcher recruitment.
