David is one of our directors. overseeing the internal audit service at a diverse range of HE providers in the Uniac portfolio. With over 15 years experience in this role, he is well regarded as a pragmatic risk, control and governance expert. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and has also achieved a MSc in Audit and Consultancy. His audit career started as an IT Auditor and he has maintained a cyber, digital and data specialism, overseeing cyber, digital and data assurance and consultancy services at Uniac.
David has experience in senior management positions outside of audit. He has headed up an identity accesses management team and also has several years of managing a cyber security risk and compliance team at a large telecommunications provider. Outside of work, David is a Governor and member of the Audit & Risk Committee at Burnley College and also the Chair of a football club in his local area.
