Firstly, we are all on the same side – working in the interests of the university. Audits work best when we work in partnership. We’ll let you know in good time before an audit is due to start and we will do our best to avoid your particularly busy periods. You will find us open and keen to engage with you.
We’ll describe the scope of the audit in detail and will be keen to get your input – especially if you have any areas of concern that the audit might be able to help with. We must ensure though that we fulfil the brief set by the audit committee and within the timescales that they expect – but within these constraints we will ensure that the audit is helpful, and causes minimal intrusion.
