Covering ‘Risk Management And Good Governance’, Nolan Smith (the Office for Student’s Director of Resources and Finance) outlined what he saw as the main risks facing the sector, recent regulator interventions and insights into government policy.
Helen Thorne then summarised the key findings from Uniac’s analysis of sector strategic risk registers, drawing parallels and comparisons with the results from relevant risk surveys from business sectors and across Europe.
The session ended with a presentation from Tim Rawlins, Director and Senior Advisor - NCC Group who concentrated on cyber risks including readiness, response and communications.
