Maria has over 20 years’ experience working within the public sector in management roles including as an Internal Auditor within a specialist Public Sector Internal Audit team and as a Quality Manager within Further and Higher Education. She is experienced in data analysis and performance management having worked as a Principal Analyst in the Police Service for 12 years. Maria is passionate about helping clients to better manage their risks and making value-added improvements to their business processes.
Maria holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Stirling and a Diploma in Crime and Intelligence Analysis from the Scottish Police College. In the coming months, she will also be undertaking the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification.
Maria has specialisms in data analysis, quality management and student feedback and experience. In her time as an internal auditor, she has carried out a wide variety of audits from financial management and governance to a wide range of operational compliance audits.
