Ian has been working in higher education audit and assurance with Uniac since 2005. Prior to that he brings experience from a number of other sectors, including central banking, financial services local government and professional services /‘Big 4’.
He is member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Academic qualifications include a BA (Hons) in History and Politics and a PG (Dip) in Business Management.
Ian oversees our client relationship at a number of Uniac institutions as ‘Head of Audit’. He is also a Uniac Director and a member of the senior management team.
Ian specialises in risk management, IT risk assurance, cyber security and information governance. He has a particular interest in promoting IT and cyber events and workshops both for Uniac’s HE clients for a wider audience at ISACA’s European conferences.
