Why use an internal audit consortium?

Our founding members recognised that in-house internal audit teams had a good understanding of their individual institution but lacked sector wide exposure and experience.

On the other hand the bigger audit and accountancy firms were perceived to lack specialist sector knowledge and continuity of staffing, so the Uniac consortium was formed to bridge the gap.

Uniac was the first Higher Education audit consortium to be established in the UK and we remain unique. The key to our success is flexibility. Members and clients enjoy continuity of involvement with our Directors and Managers who know and understand each institution thoroughly. Individual audits are delivered by auditors with significant audit experience and an in-depth knowledge of the topic being audited. We listen to each member and client and tailor our style and delivery to meet their exact expectations.

Please do get in touch if you’d like to find out more about working with us.
