Uniac Briefing Session Legal Compliance — Current Topics, 5th October 2016, 10:15am — 2:30pm

Share this page

The event will take place at The Main Hall, Friends' Meeting House, Manchester.

Uniac hosts regular briefing sessions to share and debate emerging topical issues in HE governance. Although we are all pre-occupied with the potential implications of Britain’s expected departure from the EU (which we will return to later this year), universities face some more immediate compliance challenges. These topical legislative requirements form the basis of this session. The speakers will outline best practice and, where applicable, the tensions between full compliance and achieving institutional goals.

The session is relevant to;

Governing body and audit committee members and senior executives with an interest in institutional risks and assurance.

University staff with legal, records management, IT, data security, procurement or Prevent Duty responsibilities.

Please download the event flyer for more infomation.

If you would like to reserve a place, for all or part of the day, please reply to Angela Gilchrist (agilchrist@uniac.co.uk / 0161 237 1174 / 07770 336 490) by 21st September 2016.
